Tanner Cusumano, a young filmmaker, has written, directed, and produced the movies “Missing,” “Sage,” “Amanda”, "Impetuous." The 24-year-old recently received a Rising Star Award by the Canada International Film Festival. Born in Burbank, California, Tanner Cusumano exhibited an early interest in the art of filmmaking. At the age of 12, he enrolled in the New York Film Academy’s summer program and began screenwriting, producing, cinematography, directing, and editing. Tanner Cusumano was featured in an interview on the Academy’s website in which he talked about how the school has shaped him as a filmmaker. Cusumano is now attending Dodge College of Film and Media Arts at Chapman University
Tanner Cusumano has received special recognition for his film, “Amanda.” This movie, which focuses on teenage drunk driving, has won several national prizes as well as awards in Mexico, Amsterdam, and Canada. Another film, “Sage,” was the Official Selection at the 2010 Burbank International Film Festival and the 2010 Red Rock Film Festival. Tanner Cusumano is now finishing his new film Caliber which will premiere later this year.
